NWoTHM stands for New Wave of Traditional Heavy Metal, a subgenre of heavy metal music that emerged in the early 2000s. It is characterized by a return to the traditional sound of classic heavy metal bands from the 1970s and 1980s, such as Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, and Accept. NWoTHM bands typically feature prominent guitar riffs, soaring vocals, and melodic leads, and often incorporate elements of power metal, speed metal, and thrash metal. The movement has gained a significant following in Europe, particularly in Germany, Sweden, and the United Kingdom.
