Frenchcore is an aggressive subgenre of hardcore techno characterized by distorted kickdrums, speeds typically between 180-230 BPM, and dark, industrial atmospheres. Originating in France during the 1990s, it emphasizes raw energy and relentless intensity while incorporating elements of gabber and speedcore.
