Rock opera music is a subgenre of rock music that combines elements of classical opera with rock music. It typically tells a story through music and lyrics, often with a theatrical and grandiose style. Rock operas are usually performed by rock bands with vocalists trained in classical singing techniques, and often include a large ensemble cast of singers and musicians. Some of the most well-known examples of rock opera include The Who's "Tommy," Andrew Lloyd Webber's "Jesus Christ Superstar," and Pink Floyd's "The Wall."
