Ghettotech is a high-energy fusion of Detroit techno, Miami bass, and hip-hop characterized by explicit lyrics, booty bass rhythms, and raw, stripped-down production. Emerging from Detroit's underground dance scene in the 1990s, it prioritizes intense danceability with fast tempos, repetitive vocal samples, and aggressive synthesizers. The sound embodies a DIY aesthetic that's both confrontational and playfully hedonistic.
